Parents are our partners when it comes to supporting, raising and educating a child. This is how we see things and we hope you agree. Together we make up a team, a team which is focused on the development of your child. We feel it is important that we are on the same page as we share the responsibility for raising your child. We expect you to work with your child at home and to help them practice things for school if the teacher asks you to do so. Practice and repetition can make a lot of difference to children. Children enjoy talking about school, their teachers and friends at home. Please ask your children about their day. Asking this stimulates children as it lets them know their parents care.
We also want to know what you think about our education. Please let us know if you have any advice or if you have any ideas. This can also take place during the parent-teacher evenings which take place a number of times a year. You can also arrange a meeting with your child's teacher or the principal in between times if you would like to discuss something.
